Schladming Nightrace

Events in Schladming & Ramsau

Schladming is known as a haven for sports enthusiasts. It is not only famous got its ski resort – which hosts the annual Nightrace FIS World Cup slalom attracting around 50,000 spectators each year – but also its network of hiking and mountain biking trails. Since 2004 it has hosted a UCI Mountainbike World Cup race where the world's best downhill mountainbikers go head to head. The Bikepark Planai is a popular meeting point for beginners and experienced riders alike. Professional riders can often be found training alongside amateurs and beginners.

As well as its sporting events, Schladming also hosts many culinary and musical events. The Hohenhaus Tenne event centre is often transformed into a concert hall where international singers, dancers and musicians perform. At the regular farmers' markets visitors can try a selection of delicious cheeses and beers from local producers accompanied by the sound of live music.
