Great skiing in the Dachstein region
During the winter months this region at the foot of the Dachstein Massif is a paradise for skiers and snowboarders. It is home to no fewer than four ski areas – Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm – and is also part of the Ski Amadé wintersports area. The Rittisberg ski lift is just a few minutes' walk from the chalets, while the slopes of the Dachstein glacier, Planai and Reiteralm can be accessed quickly and easily with our chalet shuttle bus.
Nearby, guests will also find cross-country skiing trails (just a seven-minute drive from the chalets), a state-of-the-art biathlon stadium and a sports centre with a special roller ski treadmill and a small ski jump. Those who wish to get out and explore the natural surroundings can enjoy winter hikes and snowshoe hikes as well as romantic horse-drawn carriage rides through the snowy landscape.
